Biography

Raymond Klassen (b. 1988) is a Canadian artist living in southern Manitoba.

He has always had an interest in art. Completely self-taught, his passion for painting nature grew strongly after high school. Working primarily with acrylics, his focus has been on landscapes and birds, often combining the two in his paintings. He is known best for his use of believable and realistic lighting and colour to paint locations he has visited.

In 2022, Raymond held a solo exhibition, Traveling Light, at the Winkler Art Gallery in Winkler, MB. Included were more than thirty paintings of locations he has traveled to, primarily in Canada and the United States. He has also been a part of multiple group exhibitions in southern Manitoba, including the Manitoba Rural and Northern Juried Art Show and the Pembina Valley Studio Tour.
